Dave and I got our tix to Paul McCartney yesterday. Helps that the sister-in-law works for BOK and they get to purchase tix before they go on sale. Should be an awesome show. Can't wait!

Tom: I bet that was a great show!!

Thank you Kevin for posting....internet was down several days as you know!

Tom...I wish I would have known about the concert...I would have driven down to go...ASIA is unquestionably one of the best!

Have heard nothing but GREAT things about the reunion...its was fantastic! Thank you all for making it such a great event. I think the consensus is we all wish we had more time to chat....

Please keep in touch!

Danise.....when DO they go on sale? I bet they'll go fast!!
May I borrow her as my sister-in-law for a couple of minutes?!

Jan...next time there's a concert you want to see at the BOK let me know. She had to purchase them yesterday and can only do it one time. I wish I'd known you wanted to go cause you know I would have taken care of ya!!

The ticket prices are really ridiculous but Dave has been a Beatles fan forever and we figured it will probably be our only chance to see "Sir Paul" (ha, i think that's a joke but whatever)

Just hope we're not dissapointed like the last time we saw Eric Clapton. Man, I love Eric Clapton but the last show he put on in OKC literally sucked.

I seriously doubt that we'll be dissapointed with Paul :)

Oh Jan...i just remembered that Kifer has an "in" with BOK too. Call him or me if you need his number. He's leaving for Afghanistan Wednesday so let me or him know if you need something.

Danise....just how ridiculous are we talking here? I'd love to see "Sir Paul"....but not if it's going to be 500 bucks a ticket.
I'd have to blow off my daughter's wedding cake to pay for concert tickets, that just doesn't seem right.

Hey, I say we all just go see Journey instead! :)

Jan...they're $250, $95 and $57. Absurd really...

Finally getting around to saying thank you to the planning committee and food guys for all your hard work. I, like so many, was the beneficiary of your efforts and was able to simply enjoy a great reunion. Thanks, Clay Bird

Lisa, I love Journey. I'd go see them in a heartbeat.
Danise, that is a bit absurd, but I would pay 95.00.
I just wish I'd known about the YES show! Dammit! I've probably seen them three or four times. The first was in high school...I remember they were playing on a revolving stage....very cool!

Jan -

Judging by the turn-out, I don't think many people knew about the YES show. But, it was really good!

ASIA was all original members (just much older-looking). YES has a new singer (I think I read that Jon Anderson has some health issues), but he definitely had the high vocal range. And, Rick Wakeman's son, Oliver, is filling-in for dad on keyboards. Steve Howe (guitarist) is in both bands, so he played all night - and put on a clinic!!!

Tom, YES is one of the few bands that sound even better live. I saw them a couple of years ago, and their voices are just as beautiful as ever.
Did they do Mood for a Day, and The Clap? Two of my faves!!

Brad Huffman

Tom, did you win the guitar?

07/17/09 12:09 PM #548

Tom Kittell

Ah, Jan, you like the acoustic guitar stuff - good for you!

No, but Steve sat down and did about 5 minutes of solo stuff - very nice!

Brad - No, I didn't sign-up. Might have won, though, judging by the low attendance.

Jan..we were probably at "Yes In The Round" together, remember? There was quite a group of us that went but I couldn't tell you who all was there. That was a great show, wasn't it?

07/17/09 02:10 PM #550

Jan Holt (Hennage)

Danise...I think you're right. There must have been two whole rows of us. Ah...the good old days when you could spark up right there in your seat. (not that I would even consider doing that NOW) ;)

07/17/09 02:38 PM #551

Danise Bell (Cox)

If I remember right we were right on the 5th row. Those were the good ole days, huh?

07/17/09 03:02 PM #552

Jan Holt (Hennage)

Damn, girl....you have more brain cells firing than I! But now that you mention it, we were really close to the stage.
I do remember sitting there with my mouth practically hanging open in awe.
It seems like someone threw up in the car I was riding in on the way home....OMG.

Tom Kittell

I was at the "In The Round" show, too.

Brad - Were you there last night? I'd love to see my wife's face if I brought another guitar home!!!

07/17/09 03:28 PM #554

Brad Huffman

Nope, I wasn't there. I just know a lot of people.

Jan Holt (Hennage)

Tom...Danise...I'm pretty sure I still even have the ticket stub. I used to save all those.
Just off the top of my head, I'm guessing we didn't pay more than 10 or 15 bucks for that show. Jeeeeeez!!!

Danise, You said Dave was a big Beatles fan, well do yourself a favor go see 1964 The Tribute. They're at The Performing Arts Center Friday August 14. I've seen them five times and enjoyed them each time. You'll dance, you'll sing, you'll have a good time.

Hi Classmates,

As some of you know, my husband was suppose to be at the reunion, but he started having debilitating headaches. He had an MRI while I was gone and it showed he has a brain aneurism. Luckily it's treatable, so he will be just fine. Thanks to everyone who had him in their prayers. There's nothing like good friends. Again, it was great to see everyone!
