Update (Oct. 2023): I recently got divorced and am spending a few months in Tulsa renting a place near my mom. I own a condo in Flagstaff, AZ and will go back early next year to figure out my next steps. I'm enjoying life to its fullest now. I still see my girls every chance I get and stay busy with work. Being back in Tulsa has been an experience...my first week, we had the famous Father's Day EF1 storm which knocked my power out for a week and trees down all around me. Besides that, it's a wonderful place and I've enjoyed being nearer to mom again, playing a lot of pickleball, and running into a few old friends here and there. Would love to reconnect!

Since my last update: Spending a lot of time this summer wondering where the time has gone as we will be empty nesters this fall...it might be a little rough for me! I can truly say I've enjoyed every minute of parenting our girls and couldn't be more thankful for them. Courtney (our oldest) graduated from college and moved to Seattle to begin her first professional job. It's been great to have a new place to visit and to see her so happy. Lauren squeezed just about everything she could out of high school and is now setting her sights on college. For the past four years, I've taught business classes part-time at Glendale Community College and I pick up small consulting projects every now and then. Recently my husband experienced his first career change (a.k.a. being "displaced") and so I'm probably going back to work full time. I'm actually looking forward to it and feel blessed to have had such a flexible work schedule in order to be a full-time mom for 17 yrs. My mom still lives in Tulsa and I get back to visit about once a year as she travels out here more often. My brother Kevin, who was three years older, is married and lives in South Carolina; they have two daughters in college.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion...I haven't been since our 10th. And I have to give credit to Kevin's entertaining "Reunion Excuses" as I was on the fence about coming back! See you soon!

Graduated from OSU and taught elementary school in Wichita, KS. Met my husband Larry there, married and moved to California in 1984. Received a Masters degree in Human Resources and have enjoyed a career in the training & organization development field. Moved back to Tulsa in early 90's (training mgr. at Williams Cos.), then on to Atlanta in '96 (trained security officers for the Olympics). Have lived in Phoenix area for 15 yrs. now (Larry's hometown). We spend a lot of time watching our girls' compete and perform (cheerleading, dance, volleyball and tennis). Words of wisdom to our oldest have been to make the most of her high school years because they are short-lived but long-remembered! I enjoy playing tennis, hiking, and most recently, road-biking. I completed my first century ride Nov. '09 in the El Tour de Tucson and several 62 mile rides since. Have been married 26 years to my best friend. This past August ('ll), I started teaching at the community college and I love it! It's a great fit for my lifestyle right now and affords me time to still be an active mom!

Best School Memory:

Hitting the QT before school for "special" Koolees and being late to first hour COE...and Mrs. Hughes' dirty looks! Oh, and speeding around in Kim's little yellow Porsche...and missing a turn and hitting a curb straight on at like 40 mph...then sitting there eating carrots waiting for our "rescue!"

The Pink Barn!

My dad "surprising" me with a red & white Baja Bug for my bday--he forgot to tell me that he had to remove the only source of heating to do it! I remember driving to school in the freezing cold, windows rolled down, trying to keep the inside and outside fog wiped off! Eventually the axle gave way, a wheel came off, and I stopped just short of a telepone pole on Sheridan!
