Jana Garrison (Robinson)

I just had lunch with the yearbook elf a/k/a Diane Britton whom I haven't seen in 30 years! It was great to catch up! We talked about how we've both have noticed that lots of people are apprehensive about attending the reunion for various reasons... They don't want to show up by themselves, or they weren't popular then or they aren't popular now, too many divorces, etc. Personally, I don't remember Memorial as well as I do Carnegie and Nimitz. However, this reunion is a great time to put any ill feelings aside and move on, make new friends and/or rekindle frienships. We all have Tulsa and Memorial in common. Reach out to those who you may know to be apprehensive about attending!

AMEN JANA !!! Very well said. I would hate for anyone to miss this rare opportunity to reconnect with old friends or meet new ones (there are so many names and faces that I have never heard of). I would hope after thirty years we could just enjoy the common unique thread we all have and forget about any ill feelings.   Looking forward to seeing you all!!

Right on, ladies!

My take on this is:

You will only have ONE opportunity to attend the reunion. Choosing to not attend because you might not have a good time, uses the same logic as not going to a restaurant because you might have a bad meal.

Go and reconnect with classmates you haven't seen in years. You will only regret not attending, by not experiencing the chance to reconnect with someone you havent seen in years.

Last year, I had a chance to chat with one of our classmates who I hadn't seen or talked to in over 30 years. I commented to him how strange it was to now be having a discussion with him after all that time thru the internet. His comment back was dead on---- That it was more bizarre that after 3-12 years of seeing our friends almost each day, we all are spread to the winds to never cross paths again....Thus this site was born!

Don't think you can just "make the next one". We dont control our lives that much!!

Just my thoughts

Kevin

Hell, yeah....I haven't been this excited about anything in a long time. And, it's totally about this website. In our past reunions, we got a letter in the mail, paid the money and went. This one, we've had the wonderful opportunity to log in and exchange this insane banter with classmates that we probably wouldn't even recognize if they walked up to us on the street!

Moo, moo to you too Gary-poo!!!!!!!!!

Gary, last weekend I was called "cushy", which I thought was a rather nice way of saying I'm as fat as one of your cows.

Jan, you'll have no trouble recognizing me. Just look for the goofiest looking sucker in the crowd. That would be me.

MOO!!!!!

Dearest Hans,
Rest assured, your money paid for your senior picture was well spent. I've made the correction. My apologies for the woopsie, but I was getting quite punch drunk when I was cropping/editing. Thank you for the heads up.

To all on the website,
Please check your profile (and others if you are so inclined) for picture accuracy. Let me know if I can make a change.

For those of you that didn't have senior pictures posted in our senior annual,
I've located other years (thank you, Jana Garrison!) and trust me ... I WILL FIND YOU. (no, that wasn't Gary K. typing.)

Brad, are the pictures on your profile of Winfield? Kinda looks like Stage 5.

Jan Holt (Hennage)

Brad, wear the purple bandana so there won't be any doubt in my mind! LOL!!!

Brad Huffman

Diane, RUH ROH! If you know about Stage 5, then there are other things you also know about. Maybe I should be a little apprehensive about coming to the reunion. But no, it's not Stage 5, it's on west before you get to the bridge.

Jan, but the purple doesn't go with the zebra stripped, platform shoes as well as the jerry curl wig.

Now THAT's tha Hans I remember!!

Jan, Unfortunatly I have missed all of the previous reunions for one reason or another. No way will I miss this one. I'm pretty stoked up to see everyone.

Allen, I've been to every one of them...but, I think this one will be the best of all.

Brad, zebra striped platform shoes? Oooh....what size are they?

06/25/09 01:18 PM #324

Brad Huffman

Oh Jan, you're just taunting me, trying to get me do something else to embarrass myself. Okay, I'm down with that :-) They're size 9. One of these pics shows them (with the pink socks).

Jan, I soooo agree with you. I have been to the others and think this will bet the best yet also. Thanks to Kevin for making the site

Oh no Kevin, that outfit won't be worn again till the next ice age. I learned my lesson about playing dress up when it's a 101 outside.

A friend of mine however, is playing this weekend on stage, outside, and wearing a Nudie suit. In this heat, that's just crazy! Good thing he's a skinny boy, otherwise it'd probably kill him.

Hey, Gary...have you been a fishin' or what?
Your absence is deafening.

Hey...I don't want to sound like a dork, but... the person in charge of tunes has GOT to include Michael Jackson in the playlist for Friday night.
I (we) grew up listening to him, and I'd almost forgotten how actually awesome he used to be before he became soooo strange.
I'm sure at least SOME of you agree with me. (c'mon, now)
RIP Michael..............
