Bo was my best friend Junior year and also my debate partner. We met in speech class and teamed up on projects in Man and Media. Everybody liked Bo and he always had a great sense of humor. He was one of those people who could be in Masque and Gavel, do speech/debate, announce sporting events, hang with any group. He was active in Church as well and fiercely loyal to his friends and his school.

We lost touch after high school but reconnected a few years back when he ran for city council. I rememver him calling about the disease that cost him his foot. He called to tell me and said, "now don't think of me as 'de-feeted!'" Always a smile and a great sense of humor even in bad circumstances. He was so proud of his amazing kids, bragging as he should. I wish we'd stayed in closer touch!

Miss you, Bo! You got to heaven a little too soon but I'm sure you are already meeting and greeting!

So sad to hear about Bo. He was in Boy Scouts with many of us and was truely a good person. My parents got me back in touch with him when his son was playing baseball with my nephew. It was so great to see him after all those years!!

Very sad to hear about Bo.  He lived on the same street after my family moved from Texas and was always so friendly and like others have mentioned always had a smile and a corny joke.  I can still remember Bo announcing the football games and letting us know the ball was on the yard marker + 1/2 or 1/4 or whatever.

For a couple of years I worked for Bo's dad at Summers Pharmacy to deliver prescriptions around town and work at the counter.  Didn't get paid much but he was always good with buying me lunch or dinner at the Savoy Cafe and a slurpee at the QT.  Great guy and role model for Bo--good memories.

I have a kind of funny story involving Bo from a few years ago. Back when I was in college I started dating a girl who had gone to Mason High School and we had an on again/off again relationship for a few years, even living together at one point. We finally broke it off for good and didn't really have much contact over the years. But back in 2010 we ended up back in contact and hung out a few times. She had lived and worked all over the world, but had just moved back to Tulsa. While we were catching up, the subject of relationships came up and she mentioned that, since she was newly back in town, she had decided to try out some online dating apps. She had signed up for one of them and had only gotten one connection. She said, "Do you know a guy that went to Memorial named Bo Summers?" I said that we had not necessarily been friends in school but that I definitely knew of him and he genuinely seemed like a nice guy. She said that Bo was her only connection on the app and she had declined the connection. So, she decides maybe that dating app wasn't very popular and, a few months later, signs up for a different one. A few hours after signing up, she gets her first connection. It's from Bo Summers. She realizes it's the same guy from before and politely declines. So, after a couple of failed dates from this dating app, she deletes it and gives up for awhile. About a year later, she decides why not? Let's give it one more try. She signs up for a new "better" dating app that was very popular at the time. Around this time, I just happened to be in Tulsa, and we had decided to meet up and grab a beer. As we were having a drink and talking, she gets her first notice on the new dating app. She's a little excited and opens the email and...you guessed it...Bo Summers!

Bo is a friendly guy and I always enjoyed our conversations at the church.  As Jaimie mentioned, he did seem to be looking for Ms. Right. If he didn't find her here, I hope she is waiting for him there.
