I will always treasure the moment when Brad pulled the frisbee out of his gown and threw it perfectly the length of the Mabee Center!

I remember Brad to be fun loving, kind and willing to listen.

I will miss you bud!

Brad "Bandana Man" Niemeyer passed a few years ago after a prolonged battle with post head trauma complications. Brad's detriment occurred while living his dream on-board a fishing vessel working the Bering Sea.

Brad pursued and successfully accomplished his lifelong core dream of sustaining the Great Northwest outback lifestyle. Brad's tenacious spirit for the untamed expance is to be revered and honored.

I stayed in contact with Brad throughout the years, he is grievously missed.

I'll never forget the "Nemo Mommy Cookies"

My heart sunk when I saw Brads name on the “In Memorial” list. I have known Brad (nemo) since 9th grade. We had lots of great times together and some I even remember! I remember having very deep conversation with him late at night. Brad was interested in a lot of thing and was himself a very interesting person. He was friendly and kind. I was so looking forward to seeing him this reunion. I had not kept up with him over the years but I thought about him often. At our 20yr reunion I was in the middle of some family crises, my brother had pass away from a work accident 6 weeks earlier, Mom discovered her breast cancer 3 weeks earlier and on the Friday of our reunion I buried my oldest sister from brain cancer and I was exhausted! Mostly what I remember of our 20th reunion is my wife telling all my friends “he’s really tired”, people giving me hugs and saying it will be ok and Brad Niemeyer. I remember Brad being happier than I had ever seen him before. He loved the reunion and seeing every body. He loved his life and his job. He was at peace with himself and had a great weekend. Brad will be deeply missed and I am a better person for knowing him. Rest in peace my friend.

I kind-of knew Brad in high school - I think we talked every day.

I had SOME hair - Brad had LOTS of hair!!!

I had the good fortune of spending time with Brad at the 10-year reunion. He was so different from everyone else - he had cut his hair, had a genuine passion for his job (I think, at the time, he was fishing in Alaska), and, as I remember, I thought this guy was really happy!!!

I came away from the 10-year reunion thinking Brad was (by far) the coolest guy there.

I missed the 20-year reunion, and, in the back of my head, I was looking forward to talking to the "cool fisherman" again.

Alas, it looks like this is not to be.

RIP, my fisherman friend.

Brad seemed to always be the coolest guy around. I remember him as gentle and having alot of charisma that he was probably unaware of.
