We rode bikes and played basketball, baseball and football as children. We grew apart as we got older, but my fondest childhood memories are the times we spent together.

I will never forget your slumber party when Grant Glass, Steve Ross, Jeff Pachman and I spent the night. We roamed the neighborhood til morning, only to sleep the entire next day.

I drive by your childhood house in Kirkdale often when going to visit my mother, and can't help but to think of the fun we had.

Thank you for the memories, you are missed!

Michael

Does anyone know what happened to Phil? I remember him having a bad wreck in high school, didn't he? Was his death related to that? I remember him and Ron Day always being together and listening to music by YES. So sad to see that he is gone so early in life.

I can't remember what year Phil died but I think it was about 7 years ago. It was from a head trauma that he incurred (not the one from the accident in high school.) I used to love the way Phil laughed.

What I remember most about Phil was his funloving, carefree outlook on life. Even after his accident we were able to attend the prom and I'll never forget how great he looked in his light blue tux. I know that his father passed away awhile back, but I'm not sure if his mom is still alive. He also has a sister named Lisa.

Phil was one of the first people I met when we moved to Tulsa. He lived about 5 houses up the street from me, and I used to shoot baskets with him in his driveway every day. Phil, Mike Vowels, Robert Coccaro, and I had a "gang" in 6th grade called "the Rats."

I remember his almost-life-ending car wreck, and I remember him rising like a Phoenix before us, much to our applause.

I seem to remember that the cause of death was a head trauma, which occurred during a fight.

Anyone else with insight, please advise.

Tom

I was told he lost his life in a fight as well. Either Lance Mawdsley or Ronnie Day told me.

I remember hanging out with Phil a lot in Junior High. He was a great friend, good guy. So sorry to hear about his passing away.

So sad to hear of the passing of Phil.  I had no idea until yesterday.  Wow!  Phil was such a great guy.  Got to know him in Junior High at Thoreau.  Played a lot of sports with Phil, but the memory I remember most was starting with our 8th grade basketball season.  That's where our friendship really launched and from that point on, through the High School years, we had a great friendship.  I remember spending a ton of time with Phil, Ron, Brian, Bob, CeCe and many other awesome people. Fun weekends and great times with great friends producing memories that will never fade.  Phil, you are, and will be missed.  Rest in peace my friend.
