If anyone knows what happened, I'd love to know as she and I dated our senior year. Goodbye Cindy. You were a truly wonderful lady.

Cindy passed away the early morning hours of March 10th, 2008 of a heart attack. We had gotten divorced about two years earlier and she had changed her name back to "Hidy" as that was her step-fathers last name. We remained friends, and when I was not working overseas I would go by and say hello and bring the dogs along so she could play with them. At the time she was owner/operator of the Java Dave's on 81st and Harvard.

Wow, I had no idea. In fact I have been trying to find her on facebook. She was the first peron I met when my family moved to Tulsa and my brother and I attended Byrd. I am speechless!

Thanks for letting me know Mark. Condolences to you. Funny think is I had a heart attack November of '06 then another the following August and now have a pacemaker. My wife at the time also had one 12 weeks after we were married (hers was July '07, my second 5 weeks later). I am fortunate to still be here. But, I was just stunned to see she was gone. Still am...

Every time I think of Cindy, I can clearly see her sitting at the front desk at TG&Y wearing her polyester blue TG&Y smock with her TG&Y name tag. She was the keeper of the purses so we'd go see her to get our purse when we wanted to go on break.

Hmmm...why did the girls have to wear polyester smocks and the boys didn't? Or more importantly, why did we have to wear smocks at all??

I have just read about Cindy and am at a loss for words. Cindy and I were roomates for a semester our freshman year at OU.

My condolensces to her family. I'm sorry I didn't know sooner.

Cindy was always very sweet to me in High School.

I remember her innocent and sincere smile very well.

She was a very good and compassionate young lady...It is strangely unnatural that she is gone...

God Bless you Cindy

I worked with Cindy at TG&Y too. She was a very sweet girl and one of the few people I got to know in high school. Now that Joyce mentions it, I remember the purse thing too. Those were fun times at TG&Y believe it or not:-) Very sorry to hear the news. God bless you all, Liz Mitchell

Cindi was one of the few people in life that has always told me "how it is". From the day she moved to Tulsa to shortly before her passing she was always very honest with me. I always appreciated her honesty. I kept up with her when she was married to Mark Bezinque. She was a true friend.

I first met Cindy while attending Stevenson Elementary School. I kid you not, I met her first in the summer of I probably around 1971, when she lived in the apartments around the 7/11 convenience store. I was "dumpster diving" for aluminum cans, in her apartment's trash dumpsters. Lol. This was when a young lad could recycle aluminum for cash! Anyway, we attended Stevenson, rode the bus to Byrd Jr. High, and had great times at the "Pink Barn", taking dance lessons. What fun we had!  She was always kind to me.
