I hated hearing of Steve's passing. Lost touch with Steve over the years (one of the downsides of leaving Tulsa after highschool). Plenty of good childhood memories--going to Grand Lake, first appreciation of most rock albums, playing baseball and football, floating down the street to Steve's house during the neighborhhod flood, my mom making us tator tots after we had a fist fight in his grandmom's yard (right next door to the school) after school one day. Sorry we lost Steve. Sad to see several friends from Stevenson (the small school) on this page.
I remember playing on the baseball team with Steve at Stevenson Elementary School and maybe even Byrd Jr. High. Steve was my catcher normally and he had a really strong throwing arm. I remember this specifically because one time he was playing center field and Steve threw the ball completely over the back stop, from center field. We all laughed and so did he.
