I was telling my daughter about Gamma Sigma and all I could remember was singing Valentines and wearing those polyester blue suits.   I know we were supposed to be a "service organization" - so what else did we do??????????????

Hi Joyce, Interact and Gamma Sigma used to go to the Westside YMCA to work with young kids on a weekly basis. Ten people were needed. I was the vice-president of Interact, so I picked the five that represented us. I think Kelly Bohannan picked the girls. The cool thing is we got out of school. We left at 10:00 and got back after lunch. I remember one time we got to lead blind children on horseback down a trail. The kids really enjoyed petting the horses. Another time we worked with developmentally-challenged kids in the craft room. During that visit, Mike Mullen and I took our kids to the restroom. We were standing behind our guys when Mike asked me a question. Mike's little boy heard the question and turned toward Mike urinating all the way! Needless to say, Mike's pants and shoes got splashed on. Anyway, I enjoyed being involved in Interact.

I don't think that I ever knew that.   That is a good thing - and definitely worthwhile - anybody else remember anything else we did?
